Today’s Topic: Longest Books I’ve Ever Read
Hosted by: That Artsy Reader Girl
I’ll have to confess, this week’s topic gave me pause. I wasn’t sure I would be able to participate. I don’t generally read that many long books. With so many on my TBR pile and so little time, I always figure why read one long one when I can read two or three shorter ones in the same length of time? Also, I have a very hard time DNF-ing books I am not enjoying. So I hesitate to invest my time in a longer book, knowing that if I don’t like it I will still feel obligated to trudge my way through the remaining pages in misery. Still, I have managed to read my way through some longer books in my long years of being an avid reader.
Storm and Silence -765 pages
The Oath -656 pages
Black -560 pages
Push Not the River -556 pages
North and South -521 pages
A Hope Undaunted -512 pages
Tiffany Girl -512 pages
The Masterpiece -512 pages
Jane Eyre -507 pages
A Beauty So Rare -471 pages
What are some the longest books you have read? Do you prefer shorter or longer novels?
Love Francine Rivers! Lots of new to me authors on your list. https://orangecountyreaders.com/2018/10/09/top-ten-tuesday-10-longest-books-read/
Jane Eyre is one of my favorite classic novels. Nice choice there.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I read Jane Eyre in high school, but none of the other books on your TTT list.

We think a bit differently regarding this issue. In my case, if I am reading a very interesting book, I do not want it to end, even if I spend all of my time devouring it. The longest texts I have read are probably the Harry Potter novels. I do not know the exact number of pages they have, but they are very thick paperbacks.
