Top Ten Tuesday – Island Life Book Style

Today’s Topic: Books I’d Want With Me While Stranded On a Deserted Island

Hosted by: That Artsy Reader Girl

I’ve tweaked this week’s topic a bit to suit my tastes. I would never be able to limit my choice of books if living on a deserted isle. So instead, I’m sharing books with an island setting.

The Waves – Talk about living on a deserted isle! That’s exactly what happens to the two people in this book after a cruise ship excursion gone awry.

The Nature of a Lady – I had never heard of the Isles of Scilly before reading this story, but it sounds like a lovely place.

Paradise Bay Series – I think I could really enjoy life on a Carribbean island resorts such as this one

Five Days in Skye – Of all the British Isles, this is one that I’m more familiar with thanks to it being a popular book setting.

The Little  Wedding Island – Love the premise of this story about an island famous for hosting weddings.

The Beauty of Perhaps – I’m not sure I could survive life on a Scottish Isle like Lillibrae, but I certainly would love to visit.

Blue Wren Shallows – I love that these tragic yet beautiful stories feature the unique setting of a small island off the coast of Australia.

Marilla of Green Gables – Raise your hand if you have fallen in love with Prince Edward Island sight unseen thanks to the Anne of Green Gables series.

The Things We Knew – Even though this book features a lot of family drama and dysfunction, it’s hard to believe anyone could be unhappy in a place like Nantucket.

Forever Your Girl – After reading the risks and hazards of planning a last minute island wedding, I’m not sure I’d ever be brave enough to do the same.
