Top Ten Tuesday -Books That Inspire Me to Travel

Today’s Topic: Books That Awaken the Travel Bug In Me

Hosted by: That Artsy Reader Girl

So, the trouble with this week’s prompt is in limiting my list. I’m obsessed with travel and hardly need much inspiration to wanna pack up and go. Still, there were several books which particularly connected with my travel hungry soul.

This thriller duo has the heroine running all over Central Europe in search of resolution. Places like Budapest, Prague, Romania and Slovenia have long been high on my travel bucket list.

As I have mentioned in a previous Top Ten Tuesday post, Love in Three-Quarter Time has succeed in placing Vienna over Paris in my long-term desire to live overseas.

A week in the English countryside appeals to my love of all things British. If it’s accompanied by a handsome man with a British accent, even better.

I’ve been fascinated by castles, palaces and manors most of my life. I’ve had the good fortune to explore many of those in England. This book only whetted my appetite to tour those in France.

Who doesn’t wish for a Tuscan escape? Especially if you might meet a sexy Italian man?

One of the Britain’s isles, there is something seemingly romantic about an English island.

Though only hours away from my home, I’ve only recently discovered my state capital of Austin. This story makes me want to explore it even more.

I can’t explain why, but I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for Maine. Plus, who could resist a Christmas tree farm?

Sydney, Australia is another one of those places on my bucket list. A little side trip to New Zealand would just be icing on the cake.

My Review

Cornwall evokes feelings of romantic mystery in me. I love reading stories set here, because Cornwall is almost becomes a character itself.

My Review

I confess, this one is still sitting on my TBR pile. With a cover like that I don’t know how I’ve resisted it so long. But it really makes me want to book a trip to wine country.

What are some of the places on your travel wishlist?
