Today’s Topic: Books I Meant to Read In 2020 but Didn’t Get To (You could take this opportunity to tell us what’s left on your seasonal TBRs from last year. Or books you were super excited about and then you didn’t get to them.)
Hosted by: That Artsy Reader Girl
Like most readers, my TBR list is out of control. With each new year and it’s new releases, I add to it with books I’m excited about. But of course, I don’t have enough time to read every new addition despite the best of intentions. So this list falls short of ALL the books I meant to read last year. It only names the top priority books I failed to find time for.
I love how this author portrays authentic relationships, particularly between women. Plus, I never can resist a gorgeous cover.
Benton writes the most amazing early American historicals that really make that time come alive. I just purchased this one last week, and should be getting around to it soon.
Camden’s historical focus in her books is always unique. I always learn things I’ve never known before. Plus, she does a great job writing independent, but feminine women who are both ahead of and part of their time.
Afshar is one of my favorite authors of Biblical fiction. I have actually started the audio version of this telling of Priscilla and Aquillah’s story.
The time and place setting, Kentucky in the 1930’s, both highly interest me.
I ADORE Gray’s books and have been eagerly anticipating this new release which comes after a long hiatus.
Even though I’ve long been a fan of this author, the reviews for this book have been exceptional. I’ve started it several times, but since it will only appear on one of my Kindle devices, I’m having a hard time finishing it.
This is another that has great reviews and you all know I love a good historical romance!
I’ve been intrigued by this contemporary romance since I first saw the cover. I’m not sure why I haven’t read it yet.
I fell just as hard as everyone else did for The Tourist Attraction, so I’ve been looking forward to this follow up book. I actually just got it, so I will be starting it soon.
Nicole’s book is lovely! I wouldn’t mind reading Elizabeth’s, but since I didn’t totally love book one, I don’t know if I’ll be completely motivated to read book two. 😉
