A native Texan, I’m passionate about books, film, history, travel, striking images, creating memories, reminiscing and good conversation. I realized that the common thread of all these things I love is that they create a world that takes me beyond myself. They inspire and move me and leave me wanting more. And isn’t that what good stories do?
So this is my space to celebrate stories in whatever form I find them.
Spoiler Alert: I enjoy love (in its’ varied forms) stories and redemption stories and although I can appreciate a tragedy, I prefer happy endings.

I just read James Hilton’s “Random Harvest”:
Enjoyable, rich development of characters, twisting plot, and a surprising & satisfying conclusion.
The 1942 film adaptation, with Ronald Coleman & Greer Garson, is well done.
It is better to first read the novel because in “seeing” the story the film must, early on, reveal the conclusion. So, the suspense is shifted from the novel reader being surprised by the conclusion, to the film viewer rooting for Ronald Coleman’s discovery of the same.
